    Thank You ‘Plowing for People’

    p4274779

On Monday, April 26th, despite the cool weather, members of the Pathway Community Church volunteered their professional skills to build a new garden shed at YARA-Grow Regina Community Garden. This new garden shed, generously being constructed and donated to Grow Regina, will provide onsite storage for their rototilling equipment.

This initiative is essential to allow ‘Plowing for People’ to offer the Reduced Rototilling Rates to Grow Regina members. Upon completion, Grow Regina will align both sheds at the south entrance to create a more formal entrance. Zac & Kelly anticipate the shed to be completed in time for rototilling to start the first week of May, weather permitting.

What a difference a day makes!  On Tuesday, construction of  the basic garden shed was completed.  The next project for Grow Regina volunteers will be to make improvements to the exterior finish of both garden sheds, as well as the shed at the northern edge of the pathway.  Design and details are still being reviewed, with consideration of preferences expressed from our neighbours at St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

On behalf of Grow Regina and its members, I would like to express our appreciation to members of Pathway Community Church for supporting community gardening at YARA-GRCG. We look forward to the benefits of this ongoing relationship!
