    The Plant Ranch Inc.

Grow Regina is highlighting The Plant Ranch Inc. to show our appreciation for the support provided to Grow Regina over the years.

sponsor_plant_ranchLucille and Alain Bouvier met in a tomato patch. Years later, when their vegetable bedding plants started outselling the sales of their livestock they decided to sell the cows and buy more seeds. The farm became known as Bouvier Greenhouse. In 1991, they and other partners started up the Plant Ranch. It has evolved during the years to becoming singularly owned by the Bouviers’. During winter and spring, Alain grows the plants in thirteen greenhouses on a farm near Mossbank, Saskatchewan. Then Lucille sells them and many other gardening supplies at the Plant Ranch. This has allowed them to maintain an excellent quality of plant stock and provide firsthand knowledge of what customers want and like. You’re invited to come and experience the difference of locally grown plant material served by knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Their generous donation of bedding plants and seed potatoes for the Adopt-a-Food Bank plots, discounts on trees for the orchard and Walmart-Evergreen Community Greening Project, and other assistance has helped Grow Regina develop the McLeod Park into a beautiful garden.  The crops from bedding plants and seed potatoes were nurtured and harvested by volunteers, providing many needed and nutritional meals to clients of the Regina and District Food Bank.

On behalf of the Board of Grow Regina, thank you Lucille and Alain for your generous support. We could not have achieved the success we are enjoying at YARA-GRCG without your contribution and we encourage Grow Regina members to visit The Plant Ranch for their bedding plant purchases this spring. Please visit their site at www.plantranch.ca for more information.

      Hi!
I’m looking for a Shockwave Spark Mix or Electric Mix petunia. Do you have any?
      Thanx,
      Barb

FYI, the Plant Ranch has brought in Heritage Tomatoes this season for those looking.
