    A Workshop with Gregoire Lamoureux

    SATURDAY and SUNDAY JUNE 4-5
    9:30 am – 4:30 pm
    Language Institute  LI-216
    University of Regina

Permaculture is the design and implementation of sustainable and ecological human habitat. It is based on the observation of natural systems and uses ecological principles to increase diversity and productivity of local human ecosystems. It can be used both in urban and rural areas.

In this two-day workshop you will learn about:

    · Urban permaculture principles

    · Improving soil fertility

    · Efficient use of water

    · Growing more fruits and vegetables organically using permaculture principles

    · Integration of existing resources on your land or back yard using natural methods to produce food and restore balance

    · Preparation of garden beds using sheet mulching methods

Workshop Leader Gregoire Lamoureux has 20 years of experience as a permaculture designer, consultant and teacher. He has taught extensively across Canada. His work experience includes market gardening, greenhouse production, orcharding, ecological land restoration, small-scale nursery management, landscaping aquaculture and forestry. He lives on his 10-acre farm in Winlaw, British Columbia.
