Volunteers needed for Saturday, August 20th

    Hello All,

Hasn’t it been lovely weather and nice warm evenings (for the most part) this past while. Things in the garden are ripening and looking great!

Well it has been some time, but we are again calling all gardeners to come help out this Saturday, August 20th in the afternoon, starting at 1pm.

We will be ordering some crusher dust and that will be great to get some of the low & flooding paths built up a little. B.Y.O.W. & S. !  (Bring Your Own Wheelbarrow and Shovel!) — if you have them …

The other job that needs doing is to roto-till /cover with plastic sheets some of the abandoned gardens where the weeds have gotten out of control.

Just some on by the centre circle on Saturday (where the crusher dust will be) and we will get everyone sorted out. Even if you can spare only 30 minutes or an hour, we appreciate your assistance!

    In Other News …

    1. At some point closer to harvest / garden clean up  time, the Board has decided that we will pay to have a Loraas bin available to collect garden refuse. This is intended as a service to gardeners, but is particularly for those for whom it is a hardship to haul it home to their own composts / garbage.
    2. A ‘special’ group of knowledgeable builder-type volunteers will be needed to assist with finishing off the Accessible Gardens corner plots. If this describes YOU , feel free to email me now! We’ll be calling you … :-)
    3. Watch for another email coming soon with Important Dates for Fall BBQ, Fall Gardener’s Meeting, and Fall Clean Up date !
